Over 100 Food Baskets Delivered!

June 7, 2021—Over the past two weeks, Catalytic Communities has distributed 106 baskets of food staples to families hit hard by the pandemic in seven Rio de Janeiro favelas, including agro-ecological, fresh food baskets prepared by local and regional farmers.

This action was made possible through funds raised so far from dozens of international supporters through our campaign to “Ensure Urgent Food Assistance to Favelas Facing Down Covid-19.”

We still have a long way to go though, to reach our goal of supporting over 1000 favela families with food staples that also support local, community agriculture.
