2018-2019 Rio Raffle Information
Our Rio Raffle has been folded into our Community Catalysts Campaign, RioOnWatch Monthly Donors Campaign, and Stand With Favelas Campaign. Commit to recurring donations and you’ll be in the running for regular perks!
The top perk is entry in our Rio Raffle. All recurring donors will get a chance to bring a friend and visit us in Rio, even at monthly contributions starting at just $1. Once we reach $5000 in monthly contributions (and again at $7500 and $10,000–check our progress here), we’ll raffle a trip for two to Rio de Janeiro from any major city in the world.
The winner (and friend) will experience seven nights in one of the most spectacular cities on Earth, with poolside bed and breakfast in the iconic neighborhood of Santa Teresa and an educational community visit to a local favela included. The CatComm team will also host a pot luck for you! For every $10 you’ve contributed in recurring donations by the time of the Raffle, you’ll have a shot to win. Questions? Email us.
All Raffle proceeds go towards supporting Catalytic Communities and benefit the communities and community partners we work with. Learn more about what you’re supporting on the Community Catalysts Campaign page. All prize costs (such as flight miles and accommodation) are generously donated by our network of supporters. So funds raised go entirely to our mission.
The Prize
Thanks to generous mileage and accommodation donations, the Rio Raffle prize is valued at over $4,000. It includes:
- Round-trip flights for two to Rio de Janeiro during low season, or one during high season.
- 7 nights at poolside guesthouse bed and breakfast in Santa Teresa, Rio’s charming centrally located, bohemian and best preserved historic neighborhood.
- A private Educational Favela Visit (or two) with community leader and CatComm team.
- Intimate dinner with the entire CatComm team.
